APRESENTAÇÃO / PRESENTATION

Desde 1996 o NUTAU/USP- Núcleo de Pesquisa em Tecnologia da Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de São Paulo realiza bienalmente seus seminários internacionais, focados na questão da sustentabilidade nestes campos, visando contribuir com conhecimentos científicos ao desenvolvimento com base à tríade ambiente-economia-sociedade. Neste ano de 2016, o seminário focará o tema "Águas: projetos e tecnologias para o território sustentável" e será realizado na Biblioteca Brasiliana, em seu auditório e espaços anexos, no próprio Campus Butantã da USP. Conheça a programação do evento, abaixo, que conta com a coordenação da colega arquiteta e urbanista Saide Kahtouni e que receberá alguns dos grandes protagonistas nacionais e internacionais nesta questão, essencial para a qualidade de vida em nossas cidades e regiões metropolitanas, o território vital para a maioria da população brasileira e mundial.

From 1996 onwards, NUTAU/USP - the Nucleus in Technology of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Sao Paulo, promotes biannually its international seminars, focused on the issue of sustainability in these fields, with the objective of contributing with scientific knowledge to the development based on the triad environment-economy-society. In the current year of 2016, the seminar will focus on the theme; "Waters: design and technologies for the sustainable territory", which will be held in the Brasiliana Library, in its auditorium and contiguous spaces, within the very Butanta Campus itself. Learn about the program of the event, below, which counts on the the coordination of the colleague architect and urbanist, Dr. Saide Kahtouni, and will receive some of the leading national and international specialists studying this issue, essential to the quality of life in our cities and metropolitan regions, the vital territory for the majority of the Brazilian and world population.

A questão que se coloca para este Seminário NUTAU 2016 é o da conjugação das múltiplas potencialidades de nossos recursos hídricos, especialmente para os estudos ligados a novas tecnologias, que envolvem a Arquitetura e o Urbanismo. Em sua natureza, as águas trazem, desde o início da civilização humana, imensas conectividades. Se reconhecidas como elemento significativo da geografia e da cultura dos Lugares, as águas insinuam possíveis percursos alternativos, dentro de novos parâmetros de desenho territorial, marcados pela busca da sustentabilidade, e por diversas técnicas de recuperação das paisagens naturais e antrópicas.

The general issue focused by the seminar is the possible integration of multiple waterway resources, especially for studies related to new technologies, that involve Architecture and Urbanism. In their very nature, waterways imply, since the beginning of human civilization, immense connectivities between human activities and the territory, within the Sustainability Paradigm. Should these be recognized as a significant aspect of both geography and culture of Places, waterways may suggest possible alternative paths to follow, within the parameters of territorial design, pointed out by the search for sustainability and by diverse techniques for the recovery (regeneration) of natural and human landscapes.
