LESAM 2017 - The Leading Edge Sustainable Asset Management of Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Conference
With the organization of the biannual LESAM facilitated by the IWA Strategic Asset Management Specialist Group, IWA establishes a consolidated leading-edge forum where utilities, consultants, regulators, researchers and asset managers identify and discuss the main challenges, new solutions and trends in strategic asset management.
Themes for LESAM 2017 include among other topics best practices in Integrated Asset Management (IAM) organizational implementation, advanced data management and IT systems implementation and innovative technologies for condition monitoring and assessment and modeling solutions, advanced economic modelling and improved accounting methods for costs and benefices and a better understanding of what consumers expect.
The conference will be jointly organized by IWA, the national association Norwegian Water, the municipality of the city of Trondheim and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). It will be held in Trondheim, a unique city situated at 62north and in a season with round-the-clock daylight.
Sustainability of urban water services requires medium and long-term infrastructure planning, including not only renewal strategies and tactics, but also the financial, organizational and information management aspects needed to ensure that stakeholders needs and expectations are met over time. The theme of the conference; Infrastructure Asset management, is vital for pursuing these efforts. In this LESAM we expect a large number of Sustainable Asset Management (SAM) experts in the world to participate in valuable and unique presentations and discussions.
